This feature allows you to check your E-mail while travelling etc. As long as you can gain access to the internet, you can use your Webmail feature - a very handy mobile advantage.

Simply type in http://webmail.yourdomainname.co.za (example) in the address line of your browser window and when prompted, type in your supplied e-mail address and Password of the account you wish to access.

The Webmail interface acts exactly like your normal mail software interface, complete with an Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Item, etc.

• WEB STATS

A feature that not many businesses know about, but can prove to be a very handy decision-maker for your marketing campaign.

The Web Stats feature gives you traffic information regarding your domain, for example, you can see how many visits you have received in a given month, which of your web pages have received the most visits, how many visitors were from SA or perhaps other countries (specified), how many of those users use Internet Explorer or perhaps Mozilla Firefox browsers, what keywords were used to search to find your website, etc.

Your Web Stats information and how to use this feature, are included in your domain configuration that is E-mailed to you by 0526 Hosting when you sign up.

• CONTROL PANEL

Once you have signed-up and registered with 0526 Hosting, you are given access to a Control Panel area from where you can manage your domain, e-mail, mailing lists, spam filter and antivirus management.

Depending on your location of hosting, you have access to either the Plesk Control Panel (International hosting) or the Helm Control Panel (local/SA hosting).

• FTP

When signing up with 0526 Hosting your domain configuration is e-mailed to you. With this configurations you will also receive your FTP (File Transfer Protocol) settings. FTP is the protocol used to upload your website onto the hosting server.

We recommend you download a very easy to use (and free!) ftp program called FileZilla. Included here, with our compliments, is a step by step tutorial on using FileZilla to upload your site.
